Small: the new Big?

This trend seems perfect for certain parts of California and Colorado, in that it’s both expensive AND environmentally friendly. I predict it will (someday) revolutionize the real estate market, by making extra-small, extra-high-tech houses like these the new status symbol.

I saw those the other day on la.curbed. I kind of like them... but I could totally see how (as you said) they could be status symbols. It would be great if they could rotate and if there was some sort of extra storage space tacked onto the bottom.

This is great!

I first heard about the Tumbleweed houses on NPR a while back. While looking at these, I got curious about whether anyone is making modular, pre-fab housing from shipping containers and found this link:
